Chad Harrod, Project Engineer

“The  Swing White/Green Liquor Tank project was completed successfully and four weeks ahead of schedule. Also, the project’s spending met budget, with all scope changes and issues being addresses well before erection began.

Tampa Tank’s erection crew, led by foreman Joey Allen, exhibited proper respect for safety. Safety concerns were addressed at the kickoff meeting, as well as in the filed well before any issues arose. The quality of work was commendable; Tampa Tank’s crew worked well with the third party Quality Assurance inspector. Tampa Tank addressed Weyerhaeuser’s concerns regarding weld testing and other issues, as well as proactively bringing design concerns to our attention.

Tampa Tank executed one of the most professional, quality projects I have witnessed in my eleven years in the pulp and paper industry.”

William N. Reed, Project Manager

“Flatiron- Tidewater Skanska, a jv has worked with Florida Structural Steel for over four years on the Tampa Airport Interchanges Highway construction project. Florida Structural Steel has supplied 12 steel bridges encompassing over 12,000 tons of steel. The bridges ranged from fairly simple girders to highly complex curved designs.

The project was a highly logistically complex, fast track project with an incentive/disincentive program. The success of this project can be recognized in the fact that Flatiron-Tidewater Skanska will most likely be awarded all incentives.

Florida Structural Steel’s team work, ability to support and adjust to dramatically challenging schedule needs, quality of delivered product, prompt support on issue resolution, and on time schedule deliveries have been excellent.

I can highly recommend Florida Structural Steel for any large or complex steel bridge project.”

Robert Gaffney, VP International Operations

“Tampa Tank designed, fabricated, and built a total of six API 650 steel storage tanks totaling 1.7 million barrels with associated piping and tie-ins to our existing facility. The tanks and piping were erected at our facility in St. Eustatius, Netherlands Antilles and were completed early, on budget, and with an excellent safety program.

I have no problem recommending Tampa Tank, Inc. to any other company requiring bulk liquid storage.”

Terence Keogh, Operations Manager

“Since the middle of 2006, I have had the pleasure of working with an outstanding group of individuals on the 1.7 million barrel expansion project at Statia Terminals NV. It has been a truly memorable experience. This has been by far the most cooperative, professional group of individuals I have had the privilege of working with on any of the major projects here at Statia Terminals over the past 16 years.

There has been mutual respect and understanding given by all parties involved with a strong commitment by all to complete given tasks in the safest, most efficient cost effective way possible.”

Jamie Bowman, Project Manager – Segment Erection

“During site reviews of incoming materials for the end span falsework, it was noted by our Project staff that the quality of fabrication and welding is exceptional. We appreciate your continued support and quality of work provided on the I-4/Lee Roy Selmon Expressway Interchange project.”
