South Riding Point was destroyed in 2019 by hurricane Doran, a Category 5 hurricane. Doran is regarded as the worst natural disaster to hit the Bahamas in history with maximum sustained winds of 185 mph. The catastrophic storm destroyed the terminal and PB is working vigorously to repair the 750,000 barrel tanks and get the terminal back into full service storing NAFTA, Diesel and Crude for their customers. The first (5) tanks are 50% complete and PB’s scope is inclusive of bottom replacement, bottom repairs, internal floating roofs and seals. Precision Build is proud of our international crews and the work they are doing to restore the terminal for Liwathon.
