David D. Hale – Chief Executive Officer / President

Mr. Hale was named president and CEO of Tampa Tank Inc.-Florida Structural Steel (TTI-FSS), globally recognized specialists in steel fabrication and erection, in 2013. He began his career at the company in 1984, when he joined as a shop fabricator.

Over the course of three decades, he rose through the TTI-FSS ranks holding positions as accountant, accounting manager, general manager and vice president. Mr. Hale holds a Bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting from the University of South Florida.

 

CALVIN REED – VICE PRESIDENT / SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER

Mr. Reed has been a vice president at Tampa Tank Inc.-Florida Structural Steel (TTI-FSS) since 1976. Earlier he was vice president and general manager of Stamford, Connecticut-based Triangle Corporation, manufacturers of industrial and consumer hand tools.

After serving as chief engineer as a U.S. Navy lieutenant aboard the USS D.H. Fox for four years, Mr. Reed began his business career as a manufacturing manager at Torrington Company, makers of industrial bearings in Torrington, Connecticut. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Naval Academy and a Master’s degree in science management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

 

ALFRED SCHIFF – Member, Board of Advisors

TTI-FSS expresses condolences to the family of our Board of Advisors member Alfred “Al” Schiff who recently passed away. Mr. Schiff was a learned, respected executive engineer and was considered a pioneer of the industrial controls industry.

 

DAVID H. REED – Member, Board of Advisors

David Reed is founder and principal of Shepard Capital Partners and a co-founder of Dominion Capital Group, and is currently investing and managing junior capital investments for the firms.

Mr. Reed currently serves as president of The Sustany Foundation and on the boards of Voices for Children of Hillsborough County, Bankers Financial Corporation, and The TTI Companies, among others. In addition, he is a member of the Florida Chapter of Young Presidents Organization, the Association for Corporate Growth, a former member of the Board of Governors of the Sloan Fellows Program at MIT, and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Florida (inactive status).

 

Gordon Gillette – Member, Board of Advisors

Mr. Gillette recently retired after 36 years of service to TECO Energy. He now serves as the CEO of the non-profit Early Learning Coalition of Hillsborough County (ELCHC) and is very involved in many business and civic organizations. Mr. Gillette received both his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and his Master of Science in Engineering Management as well as completing doctoral level coursework in Industrial Engineering at the University of South Florida.

 

Mike Macalusa – Member, Board of Advisors

Mr. Macaluso’s career spans 42 years in the finance industry. He held leadership positions at GTE Corporation, New York Yankees, and recently retired from his position as Chief Financial Officer of the Port Tampa Bay. He received an undergraduate degree in Accounting from University of South Florida and an MBA from the University of Tampa.

 

Dale C. Rossman – Member, Board of Advisors

Mr. Rossman started and operates DCR Fabrication in Lakeland. Since 1983, he has headed his own successful companies. As a 7th generation Floridian, he is very involved in many business and civic organizations. With extensive experience in mechanical and general contracting, he has been a respected industry leader for more than 40 years.
