David D. Hale – Chief Executive Officer / President


Mr. Hale was named president and CEO of Tampa Tank Inc.-Florida Structural Steel (TTI-FSS), globally recognized specialists in steel fabrication and erection, in 2013. He began his career at the company in 1984, when he joined as a shop fabricator.

Over the course of three decades, he rose through the TTI-FSS ranks holding positions as accountant, accounting manager, general manager and vice president. Mr. Hale holds a Bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting from the University of South Florida.




Mr. Reed has been a vice president at Tampa Tank Inc.-Florida Structural Steel (TTI-FSS) since 1976. Earlier he was vice president and general manager of Stamford, Connecticut-based Triangle Corporation, manufacturers of industrial and consumer hand tools.

After serving as chief engineer as a U.S. Navy lieutenant aboard the USS D.H. Fox for four years, Mr. Reed began his business career as a manufacturing manager at Torrington Company, makers of industrial bearings in Torrington, Connecticut. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Naval Academy and a Master’s degree in science management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.


KEN JONES – Member, Board of Advisors


Mr. Jones is CEO and founder of private investment firm Third Lake Capital. Earlier he was executive vice president and general counsel of Communications Equity Associates, a global investment and merchant banking firm.

From 1998 – 2006, he held various roles in legal, government and management positions in Washington, DC, including stints as chief legal counsel and deputy chief of staff to former U.S. Senate majority leader Trent Lott and as a legal professional at the law firm Patton Boggs. Mr. Jones also served as president and CEO of the 2012 Republican National Convention hosted in Tampa, Florida. He earned a degree in communications with honors from Florida State University and his law degree from the University of Florida.


ALFRED SCHIFF – Member, Board of Advisors


Mr. Schiff has more than 35 years of operating and corporate development experience. Early in his career, he was a key Reliance Electric executive with responsibilities in engineering, marketing and general management in the motors, electrical drives and industrial controls business. When Reliance acquired Toledo Scale Company, he headed the worldwide operations as group executive of Toledo Scale. Mr. Schiff then moved to Gilbarco Inc. as COO and executive vice president.

He later began private investment firm Schiff & Associates, where he is president, and serves as director of Autotech Corporation; Bison Gear & Engineering Co.; Saftroinics, Inc.; Motor Magnetics Inc; Sarninco, Inc.; Kenakore Solutions, Inc.; and Sensor Systems, Inc. He serves on the boards of trustees of Kendal Corp. and TV station WEDU, is a board member and past chairman of the Foundation Board of the Tampa Museum of Science & Industry and is a retired trustee of Guilford College. Mr. Schiff earned his engineering physics degree from the University of Rochester. He is currently chair of the USF College of Engineering Advisory Board and a member of the USF Foundation Board.


WILL WEATHERFORD – Member, Board of Advisors


Mr. Weatherford is managing partner of Weatherford Partners, a private equity firm dedicated to providing capital and strategic business advisory services to Florida businesses and individuals. He was the 84th Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives, serving from 2012 – 2014, during which time he was the youngest Speaker in America.

He advocated social upward mobility through free enterprise and education reform and was a thought leader on such pro-growth solutions as lower taxes, pension reform and free market health care. Mr. Weatherford spent six years as board director at Florida Traditions Bank and now serves on the board of Sunshine Bankcorp, the Florida Chamber of Commerce, the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition, and Jobs for America’s Graduates. He is a graduate of Jacksonville University.


DAVID H. REED – Member, Board of Advisors


David Reed is founder and principal of Shepard Capital Partners and a co-founder of Dominion Capital Group, and is currently investing and managing junior capital investments for the firms. Mr. Reed completed the Sloan Fellows Program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School of Management in 2002, where he earned a Masters of Business Administration. Prior to Sloan, he was involved in three successful start-ups in the business services/consulting field.

After receiving a Bachelors of Business Administration with a concentration in accounting from Emory University in 1987, Mr. Reed spent three years as an auditor with Deloitte & Touche in Tampa. He then began working in the executive recruitment and human resource consulting field, ultimately founding Catalina Human Resources, Inc. Over seven years as CEO, he grew the company to be a high quality provider of personnel consulting services in the Tampa Bay and Atlanta metro areas, before he sold the business in 1998. Mr. Reed also served as the Director of Finance and CFO, respectively, on the founding teams of Hal-tec, Inc. and Rapid Wave, Inc. Hal-tec is a Tampa-based provider of CAD mapping and engineering services with offices throughout the United States, and Rapid Wave an Atlanta-based provider of high-end web services.

Mr. Reed currently serves as president of The Sustany Foundation and on the boards of Voices for Children of Hillsborough County, Bankers Financial Corporation, and The TTI Companies, among others. In addition, he is a member of the Florida Chapter of Young Presidents Organization, the Association for Corporate Growth, a former member of the Board of Governors of the Sloan Fellows Program at MIT, and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Florida (inactive status).
